Smart Drop Terms of Service

1. Contractual Relationship

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and the developer of Smart Drop ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or utilizing the Smart Drop mobile application (com.smartdrop.app) or the Smart Drop web application (https://smartdrop-web.pages.dev/), you signify that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Application.

2. Description of Service and User Accounts

Smart Drop is a local-first file organizer and cross-device transfer tool utilizing tag-based sorting filters and optional user-directed Google Drive synchronization.

• Local & Direct Transfer Workflows: Users can organize files locally on Android or send/receive files between devices using QR pairing sessions.
• Google Account Authentication: Accessing cloud backup, cross-device library sync, and web library features requires signing in with your Google Account and granting the narrow https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file permission. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google credentials and personal devices.

3. Data Storage, Backup Limitations, and Workspace Restrictions

• Local Partition Sovereignty: On mobile devices, Smart Drop stores imported files in an isolated application directory on your device. If your device experiences hardware failure, operating system corruption, or manual cache/storage clearing without a prior Google Drive backup, local-only data cannot be recovered by us.
• Free Tier Usage Boundaries: Free accounts on mobile include up to four (4) Private tags and up to three (3) free Google Drive sync actions, after which upgrading to Premium unlocks unlimited Google Drive backups and Private tag capacity.
• Cloud Availability Disclaimer: While Smart Drop connects directly to your personal Google Drive via official Google APIs, we do not control Google Drive's servers, storage quotas, or network availability.

4. Premium Tier and In-App Purchases

• Premium Upgrade: Upgrading to the Smart Drop Premium Tier unlocks unlimited Google Drive backups and removes limits on Private tag vaults.
• Billing Processing: Transactions are processed securely through official platform billing channels (such as Google Play Billing) and are governed by the refund and payment policies of the respective store.

5. Acceptable Use and User Content

You retain full ownership and responsibility for all files, documents, photos, and tags you organize or transfer through Smart Drop. You agree not to use Smart Drop to store, transmit, or distribute content that violates applicable laws, infringes third-party intellectual property or privacy rights, or contains malicious code.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All application code, interface designs, visual layouts, icons, and branding associated with Smart Drop are the intellectual property of the developer. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Smart Drop is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of local files, synchronization interruptions, or unauthorized device access resulting from a compromised device lock screen.

9. Termination

You may stop using Smart Drop at any time by uninstalling the mobile app, disconnecting your Google session on the web app, or revoking access at https://myaccount.google.com/connections.
